    We go the extra mile…

We treat any type of animal

Our Practice is 99% small animal, primarily treating dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other more exotic animals including the increasingly popular “backyard poultry.”

We also treat a lot of wildlife from hedgehogs, to badgers, to foxes and birds.

    Puppy classes

We hold a puppy class every Tuesday evening between 6-7pm at the surgery for our clients to attend with their puppies.

The classes have been a successful way of getting new puppies socialised with others in a controlled friendly environment within the practice.

Welcome to the Veterinary Surgery in Stanford in the Vale

As an independently run family practice we are able to combine traditional standards with modern techniques and selected high-quality equipment. We aim to provide exceptional care in a warm and friendly environment. We are fully prepared to recommend a broad range of treatment options where relevant, including specialist referral if beyond our collective expertise. We have an in-house laboratory for rapid test results, and have recently purchased a therapeutic Class IV Laser.

Our Practice is 99% small animal, primarily treating dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs and other more exotic animals including the increasingly popular “backyard poultry.” Occasional small farm animals are also presented. Our dedicated team each brings their own particular skills and knowledge to the Practice.

Repeat prescriptions are available but may we request that you give us at least 48 hours’ notice for these. The prescription must be authorised by the case veterinary surgeon; we must have seen your pet for regular checks at intervals specific to the underlying condition and as advised by our Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons and, due to the cost and limits of storage we do not have large stocks of all medicines and diets available at all times. Collection of the prescription, or posting if more convenient, can be made during our Reception opening times.
